Empire of Waves is a 2D top-down pirate adventure game developed by myself and three other team members using OpenGL and C. Players take on the role of pirates and explore a world made up of fully randomly generated islands. Players will fight different enemies, explore a variety of islands, establish and protect trade routes, collect loot, buy equipment, hire mercenaries, encounter bad weather and enemy siege. I was responsible for the design and development of item, equipment, trading, bartering, inventory, storage, and the relationship system.
